Palo Santo Sticks | Peruvian Holy Wood

Palo Santo Sticks

Peru • Bursera graveolens • Naturally Aromatic Wood

There’s something ancient about the scent of Palo Santo.

Known as the “holy wood,” Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) has been used for generations throughout Peru, Ecuador and neighbouring regions in traditional spiritual and ceremonial practices. When burned, the naturally aromatic wood releases a warm, grounding fragrance with soft citrus, resinous and earthy notes.

Use Palo Santo as part of your own cleansing and ritual practice, or simply burn it when you want to create a calm, comforting atmosphere for meditation, yoga, reading, journaling or quiet moments at home.

Each stick is naturally unique, with variations in size, shape, colour and aroma.

How to Use

Light one end of the Palo Santo stick and allow it to burn briefly. Blow out the flame and place the smoking stick in a heat-safe dish or abalone shell. Allow the fragrant smoke to drift through your space, then let the stick extinguish naturally.

Use with care and never leave burning incense unattended.

A More Conscious Choice

These Palo Santo sticks are harvested by hand from naturally fallen or dead trees, rather than cutting living trees, making this a more sustainable way to enjoy this traditional aromatic wood. No dangerous chemicals are used in the harvesting process.
