NEW MOON SOAP | SOFT MINT + COCONUT + CREAMY VANILLA

When many of you began requesting a fresh mint candle and soap, we immediately started thinking about the scents that accompany our summers at sea.

Fresh crushed mint reminds us of watermelon salads. The vanilla is used in baking cakes (aside from Anise which was traditionally used to mask the smell of fisherman) and the scent is carried across the galley to the wheel house upstairs. As for the coconut, we are a nomadic family and love travelling the world with our kids. 

For salmon fishing, our family lives and works aboard our fishing vessel. We are raising our children on the ocean while commercial fishing on their dads boat — The Haida Girl. From octopuses, sharks seabirds our children witness a different kind of playground for summer.

Some nights, after the work is done and the engine is finally shut off, a rare kind of silence settles over the water. It's the kind of silence that only exists far from roads, the bright city lights and loud horns.The boat rocks gently with the ocean's movement. The children are asleep in their bunks. The darkness is complete. Those nights give us the deepest sleep we know.

And sometimes, when everyone else has gone to bed, we'll quietly bring two chairs onto the deck. We sit together under a new moon, surrounded by darkness so vast that the horizon disappears. There is nothing to look at except the stars above and the black water below. Nothing to hear except the ocean breathing around us. In those moments, the world feels wonderfully simple.

No notifications, no meetings to attend and no outside distractions. Just family, partnership, and the sea.When we began developing this scent, we wanted to capture that feeling and share it with you.

Not just a candle, but a moment.

A reminder to slow down.

To sit outside a little longer.

To listen to the quiet.

To find beauty in the stillness.

New Moon captures the magic of high tides and moonless coastal skies, where cool ocean air drifts across the shoreline and soft warmth lingers long after sunset.

Lather with warm water and apply. Rinse well. Rinse soap bar after each use and consider using a soap dish/saver. For daily use.
