Lord of the Rings Inspired Digital Art Work by Surrey, BC Artist Vivek Sharma

My name is Vivek, and I am a local digital artist who grew up in Vancouver, and now lives in Surrey BC!

Growing up, I read many fantasy novels, particularly from the author R. A. Salvatore, about the tumultuous yet adventurous life journey of his marquis drow character, Drizzt Do'Urden. This character explored the wide wide world of the Forgotten Realms universe, and absolutely enchanted me with the landscapes and character of the fantasy worlds. The world of the elves caught my fancy and my mind has been tangled in that world since. Reading and watching The Lord of the Rings and learning of Rivendell and Lothlorien only furthered these feelings! I felt that the elves truly appreciated the trees, rivers and streams, and the earth itself, the way I do. From the beauty of their civilization, to the harmony with which they live with their environment, I was forever smitten by their grace, connection, and mystery. My artwork expresses my appreciation of the natural world and a desire to live in harmony with it as the elves do, and I hope my artworks spread this wonderful feeling wherever they go!
