* Tiara Exclusives was the brainchild of Indiana Glass Company. They started Tiara on July 1, 1970 as a retail arm to capitalize on the home parties that had increased in popularity through Mary Kay, Tupperware and others. It was strictly a retail division, they did not manufacture any glass. Indiana Glass was the primary supplier for Tiara (both companies belonged to Lancaster Colony Corp), but other glass manufacturers like Fenton and L.E. Smith made glass pieces for Tiara using old molds. Cameo Black was made by Indiana Glass and marketed through Tiara in 1977. Cameo Black is the same pattern as Diamond Point which was originally sold by Indiana Glass starting in 1965. It proved to be one of their most popular patterns so they reissued it in black glass and called it Cameo Black for Tiara. Lancaster Colony closed the Tiara Exclusives branch in November of 1998. www.antigotrunk.com
